The Chimera Project Dance Theatre will be hosting a showing of our work Dancing The Seven Teachings | Danser les sept enseignments before we hit the road for our performance in Sherbrooke! This showing is welcome to all members of the public, and we relish every opportunity to provide our audiences with greater insight into our rehearsal process. This family friendly show features two works conceived and choreographed by Malgorzata Nowacka-May (with additional choreography by Arik Pipestem): Bears Stars & Trees and Trickster’s Romeo & Juliet, which will feature our esteemed Chimera artists Emma Curtis, Arik Pipestem and Sebastian Hirtenstein.
Entry fee is on a pay-what-you-can basis. The studio is in an accessible building.
Those who are unfamiliar with the area can meet our Chimera volunteer at the main entrance of George Brown College: Casa Loma Campus at 5:40 PM for easier access. We will be in STUDIO A!
Le Chimera Project Dance Theatre présentera une répétition publique de notre œuvre Dancing The Seven Teachings | Danser les sept enseignements avant notre départ pour Sherbrooke! L’évenement est gratuite et ouverte à tous, et nous chérissons chaque occasion d’offrir à notre public un aperçu privilégié de notre processus de création. Ce spectacle familial présente deux œuvres imaginées et chorégraphiées par Malgorzata Nowacka-May (avec une chorégraphie additionnelle d’Arik Pipestem) : Bears Stars & Trees et Trickster’s Romeo & Juliet, mettant en vedette nos artistes de renom : Emma Curtis, Arik Pipestem et Sebastian Hirtenstein.
L’entrée se fait sur une base de contribution volontaire (payez ce que vous pouvez).
Le studio se trouve dans un bâtiment accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite.
Pour les personnes qui ne connaissent pas bien le secteur, un·e bénévole de Chimera sera présent·e à l’entrée principale du George Brown College – campus Casa Loma, à 17 h 40, pour vous accueillir et faciliter l’accès. Nous serons en STUDIO A!

Among our main projects for the summer is another round of school performances with Prologue Performing Arts! While we’re touring our children’s show Silly Billy all over the Greater Toronto Area (with Arik Pipestem as our courageous Great White Buffalo and Emma Curtis as our beautiful Unicorn) we will also be developing a version of Silly Billy for Francophone audiences.
Parmi nos projets phares cet été, on reprend la route des écoles avec Prologue Performing Arts! Pendant qu’on fait tourner notre spectacle jeunesse Silly Billy à travers la région de Toronto (avec Arik Pipestem dans le rôle du courageux Grand Buffle Blanc et Emma Curtis dans celui de notre magnifique Licorne), on développera également une version de Silly Billy destinée au public francophone.
