Lauryn Carney

Lauryn Carney is 21 years old and is Mi’kmaq, French and Dutch. Lauryn finished her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Theater and Indigenous studies. Theater has allowed her to discover aspects that she could not have healed and accepted without this experience. She gained the confidence to pursue her dreams and with that created shows, and performed in several college and community plays. Before the pandemic, Lauryn had the chance to lead theater workshops, including a clown workshop. She looks forward to pursuing a career that integrates psychology, theater and Indigenous values, and has recently been a toutor for Toutor Doctor. Lauryn has been part of Chimera as a teacher and workshop leader since 2022.
