Nicholas Longstaff

Program Manager

Nicholas’ decade with the Canadian Film Centre as Lead Facilitator
and Opera6ons Manager, 5 years running the West Queen West BIA before becoming their first Artistic Director, and
life6me in arts education like Royal Conservatory of Music’s Learning Through The Arts and ArtsCore writing and
performance lab at the Arts Project.

His administrative acumen has been recognized through various independent contracts in ON and BC, including the production of plans for operations and development for institutions like Mimico Rail Museum, Lakeshore Arts and the King’s Banquet, and most recently an educational development plan for Nobel Academy in BC.

Nicholas’ music and original works have played dozens of Film Festivals, CBC TV, CBC RADIO, IFC Canada, W-Network,
and live groups across Canada in BC, YT, ON, PQ, NB,
internationally in the US, UK, Argentina, and at symposia for I.D.E.A. (the International Drama/Dance Educators Association) in Brazil and Hong Kong. His accolades include international film festival awards for best film, best score, best music, a Kastner Award for performance, and Fringe & Brickenden theatre awards.

In the past two years of serving as Project Manager with Chimera Nick is responsible for bringing
Dancing the Seven Teachings workshops to thousands of young people, rehearsing the presenting artists
in both official languages, and for developing new programming opportunities.
